A classic illustration of how slippery Peter Staudenmaier
can be is evident in this exchage. Being accused of failing
to acknowledge the key points of others when they would place
his own argument in a bad light, Peter Staudenmaier snips the
allegation to one phrase, and then responds that he frequently
acknowledges the key points of others (when it suits him) and
then tries to turn the accusation, questioning what might be
wrong with this approach.

Patrick:
"If you do not acknowledge the key points of others"
Peter Staudenmaier:
Since I've been on this list I have frequently acknowledged
the key points of others and explained which I agree with
and which I disagree with. Is there something about this approach
that you find unsatisfactory?
Daniel:
I think it would be helpful if you always acknowledged the
key points of others.
