In this message, I address Peter Staudenmaier's
politics. Why are his politics in the least bit interesting
in considering Peter Staudenmaier's criticism of Rudolf Steiner?
Not a few people have raised the possibility that his attacks
are part of an ideological war between communists (small "c")
and other alternative social structures. Rudolf Steiner comes
under attack becasue aspects of his Threefold Social Order are
proving successful in some places, and are thereby stealing
support from communist ideologies. Hence the need to tear him
down, by any means necessary. And the history of the left shows
the extremes they will go to in ideological warfare.

Peter Staudenmaier:
I am not a dialectical materialist. I am not any kind of marxist.
I am opposed to marxism, philosophically, politically, and
all sorts of other ways.
Daniel:
Perhaps we have a problem with a definition of terms. Christine
posted an analysis
of your writing on social ecology and attempted to demonstrate
that your philosophy, despite using other terms, equated in
many ways on a practical level to the recommendations of Marx.
I don't believe you responded at all to her characterization.
Paulina also posted, characterizing your philosophy, as evident
in your writing, as communist. Whether you use the term or
not, and whether you even want to acknowledge it, you political
writings show evidence of a significant affinity for Marx
and Marxism, even as you flatly deny any sympathy for his
philosophy at all. If "anti-Semitism is as anti-Semitism
does" regardless of the intentions of the individual,
the same holds true of Marxism. You political writing is Marxist
by virtue of what it espouses, protestations to the contrary
notwithstanding.
